No other Canadian musical group holds as storied a place in the history of popular music as The Band, four young lads from southern Ontario who, along with a buddy from the state of Arkansas, became the back-up band for rock icon Ronnie Hawkins.

They then went on to achieve lasting fame as the back-up band for Bob Dylan, before embarking on an illustrious career of their own.

On April 26, 1976, The Band performed their final concert, an epic event at which they invited many of their friends, including Neil Young, Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, to perform as musical guests.

The evening was captured forever in Martin Scorsese’s award-winning film The Last Waltz.

Now Lance Anderson brings together some of Canada’s finest performers to recreate the music and vibe of that legendary final show.

The Last Waltz: A Musical Celebration of The Band (Live). Featuring Canadian Blues All Stars Danny B., Quisha Wint, Jerome Levon Avis, James Keelaghan.
