Singer-songwriter and producer Serge Monette offers us a new album, his fifth in his career, entitled Le diable dans le corps. Serge recounts the true story of his father, his mother, and his Northern Ontario heritage against a backdrop of country-rock music.

Born in Sudbury and residing in Ottawa, Serge is known for his personal lyrics that resonate collectively. The album’s lyrics are written in simple language, and Monette blends the sounds of his spoken word with prose poetry.

Monette has been sailing solo for a long time. Five solo albums: 18 roues – 2003, Bad Luck – 2009, Capital humain – 2015, Sonnez L’éveil 2019 and Le diable dans le corps 2024.
