Volunteers at Stewart Park Festival: July 15th -17th , 2011

Each year our Festival benefits form the efforts of approximately 150 volunteers. It is easy to estimate that more than 1000 volunteer hours are dedicated to making the Stewart Park Music Festival happen, a real community effort. Each year we ask the volunteers to do at least two (more if you are so inclined) 3-hour shifts in order to earn their brilliant “Festival Crew T-shirt”.

We need people to work at the entrances to the park welcoming our guests, encouraging them to make a donation and providing Festival Programs. Anyone with retail experience (or not) is welcome to work at the Souvenir, Information and CD Booth selling our wares, our CD’s and dispensing wisdom to all that ask for it. We require several volunteers to work backstage. Some will be looking after the refreshments for all the performers and volunteers. Others are required to help with handling the musical equipment. We need many people to help out with the children’s activities as well. Finally, we are looking for night life enthusiasts to work at the door of an After-Hours Venue selling Buttons.

Please join us this year. We guarantee you will enjoy the experience. We are a friendly bunch! Bring a friend. It is always great to work with someone you know!

Secondary students please note that you can accumulate ‘volunteer hours’ by working at our Festival.

Volunteers please note: As usual we will be holding a Volunteer Orientation and sign-up session on Tuesday July
12th at 7:00 p.m. inside Town Hall.
