One of Canada’s most gifted guitarists, Jason Fowler has released seven solo albums including his 2024 album, FORELSKET, a collection of original instrumental guitar music encompassing elements of folk, classical, jazz and Bahamian guitar styles. Jason was nominated for a 2025 Canadian Folk Music Award for Instrumental Solo Artist of the Year. Jason holds an Honours Degree from McGill University in Classical Guitar Performance and is a two-time 3rd place winner at the Walnut Valley National Guitar Championships in both the Fingerpicking and Flatpicking categories. 2026 marks his 25th year as guitarist/ musical director for Irish tenor John McDermott. He has performed/recorded with a who’s who of Canadian and International artists including Lorenna McKennit, Michelle Wright, Valdy, Amy Sky, Marc Jordan, Dan Hill, Susan Aglukark, The Rankins, Alex Cuba, Sylvia Tyson, Murray McLauchlan, and Nana Mouskouri.
