What Happens After I Register On-Line?
Once you have registered on-line, your information is directed to the Volunteer Coordinator who will contact you by email to confirm your assigned shifts. You will be sent a more detailed BIA Volunteer Registration form which you will be asked to complete. You can return the form by email to the Volunteer Coordinator, or drop it off at the Perth Town Hall (Reception), or you can bring it with you to the Volunteer Orientation session usually held the Tuesday evening before the Festival.
Some positions which handle cash ( CD Booth, After Hours Venues, Crystal Palace, and Souvenir/Info Booth) or working in the Children’s Area may require a Security Check. The Volunteer Coordinator will advise you if a Security Check is required and let you know about our easy to follow (no cost) process. Police Checks for these positions must be completed within two years prior to the date of the festival i.e. (before July 19, 2017). A list of volunteers who previously submitted security checks is kept on file so if your security check is still valid, the Volunteer Coordinator will let you know that one is not needed at this time.
