Matheson House Museum & Perth Tourism Office
Travel back in time and enter the world of the 1840s at Matheson House, home of the Perth Museum, at 11 Gore St. E. Here you can find the 1840s elegance of one of Perth’s most distinctive homes, displays about the cultural and industrial history of Perth, and the Perth Tourism Visitor Information Centre. Perth is a lively year-round town and the Visitor Centre offers all kinds of information about music, theatre, arts, food, and recreation.
Farmers’ Market At The Crystal Palace
The Perth Farmers’ Market, held at the Crystal Palace in the Tay Basin every Saturday morning from May to October, offers fresh local produce and plants, delicious baking, and a variety of local handicrafts. Come out and enjoy a performance by Festival performers The Dusty Drifters.
We suggest our Town campground, Last Duel Park. It’s a lovely green space at a beautiful bend of the Tay River on the east end of town. It is only a scenic 10-minute walk to the park or take the shuttle bus which stops right at the campground. Camping is still available at Murphys Point Provincial Park which is approximately 19 km south of Perth.
